India COVID – 19
India is the world’s second most populous country and has fifth biggest economy with trade countries all over the world. Yet despite its size the country 1.34 billion appears to have avoided the full hit of the pandemic. Till date India has only 649 confirmed cases of COVID – 19 with 14 deaths and 42 recovered cases. There is no sign of community spread and WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) has praised India’s swift response, WHO chief has said in an interview with CNN that India has taken all effective steps to prevent from the virus, and had been communicating well with the public.
So far India has confirmed in total 15,000 tests have been conducted. Although the number are comparatively small but assumption that the disease will not imprint India is incorrect. Another possible reason is that corona virus may thrive in colder country, therefore it might not spread so effectively in India, whose temperature are often more than 30 degree Celsius. India’s cases number are relatively low, as with other countries , as government are encouraging citizens to self aware and wash their hands properly by 20 seconds to control the spread of corona virus.
