GRAM UDAY SE BHARAT UDAY ABHIYAN

On 14 April 2016, Narendra Modi start Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan program from Mahu (MP). On the occasions of 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The basic objective of this campaign Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan was to increase social goodwill in the villages. This is inspired by Dr. Ambedkar vision to promote agriculture by giving information about crop insurance scheme, soil card. To manage Gram Sabha meetings so that for regional development schemes to make good use of money.

GRAM UDAY SE BHARAT UDAY ABHIYAN

The campaign aims to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system in all villages. Enhance social harmony and promote rural development. Progress for all nationwide and livelihood of poor people in India.

Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan was run from 14 to 24 April 2016 by the Central Government in collaboration with states and panchayats. The main objective of the campaign is to improve the Panchayati Raj in the village, to improve the progress of farmers and the lives of people belonging to the scheduled castes / tribes. Under this campaign, three programs were organized across the country.

THREE (3) PROGRAMS UNDER THIS CAMPAIGN

1. Social Harmony Program

This program was organized in all gram panchayats. In this program, the villagers respected Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and resolved to strengthen social harmony. Information related to various schemes of the government was also made available to encourage social justice.

2. Village Kisan Sabha

The goal of this program was to promote farming. During this program, farmers were told about many related schemes like crop insurance, social health card scheme etc. Also, suggestions were given about how he can improve his farming. A national meeting of tribal women gram panchayat heads of the Fifth Schedule areas of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh was held in Vijayawada, whose main theme was panchayat and tribal development.

3. Gram Sabha

On April 24, Gram Sabha was organized in every village panchayat to celebrate Panchayati Raj Day. The objective of this program is that the amount that comes to the Panchayati for local and economic development can be properly utilized.

In Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan the topics covered for discussion in these Gram Sabhas will be as follows: –

  1. Gram Panchayat Development Plans for Local Economic Development
  2.  Funds available to Panchayati Raj Institutions for proper utilization of funds
  3. Clean drinking water and sanitation
  4. Role of women in village and rural development
  5. Social inclusion, including the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Divyang and other marginalized sections.
  6. Information related to various schemes for socio-economic development will be made accessible.

COMMITMENT OF P.M NARENDRA MODI

A. Important Development

Referring to some important development initiatives undertaken by the Central Government, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 18000 villages which are deprived of electricity facilities are being electrified within a time limit of 1000 days. He said that through the ‘Proud’ app, people can observe the progress being made in achieving Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan goal. He said that digital connectivity in villages is necessary.

B. Enhance Income of Farmers

The Prime Minister mentioned the objective of doubling the income of the farmers and said that the purchasing power of the villagers must be increased, as this will give a new impetus to India’s economy. He said that the institutions associated with Panchayati Raj should be made stronger and more vibrant.

Summary

On the first day of the campaign of Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan the villagers took an oath of tolerance and social harmony across the country. The campaign was taken forward by the Ministers of Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Justice, Information and Broadcasting in coordination with the states. Government schemes implication such as crop insurance, soil health cards which are useful to the villagers.

Such government initiative can be taken for the betterment of the village and the villagers. Since India is primarily a village-operated country, upliftment of the village is very important for the country’s progress. It should not only be a government initiative but also boil down to individual initiative.

Every person has become responsible for the welfare of the villages. In this we all make such a goal to improve our villages and India will become developed country. If we improve the smallest unit (village) of the nation, then the nation will finally see the way to success. In this way we can say Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan has properly plan for the village rise.
