PM, Modi with the highest civilian award of UAE
“ORDER OF ZAYED”
In the reference of India’s PM Narendra Modi, The Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahayn on August 24, 2019, awarded Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with the highest Civilian honor.
PM, Modi said that I feel much honored on awarded the UAE’s highest civilian award “Order of Zayed”. Also says that this honor is evidence of the growing partnership between the two countries. It is not my honor, for the 1.3 billion people of India. It shows that strength of bilateral relations between the two countries for security, peace and prosperity.
This award was announced by UAE highest honor award for PM, Modi in April last. The honor is bestowed in the name of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE. The UAE, the largest trading center in the Gulf Region, is home to a large number of expatriate Indians. India – UAE bilateral trade is $ 60 billion and UAE is India’s third largest trading partner.
MEETING WITH CROWN PRINCE
Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi on all aspects of the partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Foreign Minister spokesperson Ravish Kumar tweeted, “We have links with the UAE for many generations. There were talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed to take bilateral relations further. Mr. Kumar told that the Crown Prince said, “I am thankful that my brother has come to his second home.”
The importance of Modi’s honor is also more because the UAE is celebrating the hundred year of his (Sheikh Zayed) birth this year. The announcement of Modi’s award was also seen on social media and people happy with this shared his photo, describing it as a new phase of friendship between India and UAE. Despite all Pakistan propaganda about Kashmir, Modi’s honor was declared by the people as India’s diplomatic victory.
BENEFIT TO TOURISM AND BUSINESS
India’s Ambassador to the UAE Mr. Navdeep Singh Suri told the government news agency, “Exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Payments Corporation of India and UAE Mercury Payments Services to establish technology” interface for payments platform in both countries will be given. He said that the UAE hosts the largest Indian Community, the largest numbers of Indian tourists come here and it has the largest trade with India. “With the RuPay card being the first country in the region to offer, we hope that that tourism, business and India Diasporas will benefit from it,” Suri said.
