Steps/ Procedure How to Become a Chartered Accountant in India:

Right after passing class 12th with Commerce, One becomes eligible to get admission in the CA Course. According to the rule of the Institute of Charted Accountant of India (ICAI). One will have to enroll in a foundation course which is for four months.  If one wants to enter in the profession of the Charted Accountant. One will have to register for the Foundation Course which is offered by the Institute of Charted Accountant of India (ICAI). Foundation Registration:  For the foundation registration, You just have to fill up the following details on the ICAI official website.  The CA Foundation fees are 11300 which includes Registration fees, Examination fees, Online form fees, and Journal, member, and Students. After the registration, you would have a User ID and Password through which you can log in to your account.

Foundation Study Period: After the registration, One will have to study for 4 months to appear for the examination. After that, you will have to fill the registration form to get CA Admit card.

Foundation Exams: The foundation exams are held twice a year. The Exams are usually held in the month of May and November etc.

Validity of Foundation Course: The CA Foundation Course is valid for three years. This exam held twice a year. One can appear or 6 times. After the 3 years, The registration will expire, you can reevaluate it with nominal fees.

Passing Marks:  In order to get passed in the examination, One will have to score at least 40% marks in each subject or 50% aggregated.

Earlier the rules were a bit different. One has an option to get direct admission to the CA course through the Common Proficiency Test. But this entry is now replaced by the Charted Accountants Foundation Course. It has become mandatory to appear for CA Foundation Course to get admission in CA Course. After the Foundation Course, one can appear for CA Examination.

If the result has 40% marks in each subject or 50% etc. You can appear again for the exam. The Exam of CA is one of the toughest exams. One will need to prepare very well for the exam. Eligibility Criteria to Become Charted Accountant 2021:

The required eligibility criteria have been kept simple. All the candidates just need to have passed class 12th with Commerce. There is no Age Criteria requirement. All age group candidates are eligible to apply.  No Relaxation will be given to any candidates regarding their caste, community or religion, etc. The requirement of eligibility criteria will be completely the same.
