NDA Entry:

The NDA Stands for National Defense Academy. To get selected in the National Defense Academy, One will need to clear the Written Exam, SSB Interview and Medical Examination, etc. The NDA is the only academy in the world that is known for the training of Indian Army Cadets, Indian Navy cadets as well as the Indian Air force cadets, etc.

After the Selection in the NDA, One will be trained for three years which would lead to him becoming an Officer in the Indian Army. After the training at NDA, One will proceed for further training at their selected wings like Indian Airforce Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Military Academy etc. Here are the required criteria that one has to have to apply for this:

  • One must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • A candidate who is appearing in class 12th can also apply for the NDA Entry.
  • Age Limit: The candidate’s age must be between 16.5 years old to 19 years old.
  • Medical: one must be physically as well as medically fit in all manners.

MNS Entry (Career in defense after 12th for Females):

The MNS Stands for Military Nursing Service. Through the MNS, One becomes an officer in the Indian Army. Military Nurses have a number of the same responsibilities as traditional nurses but they are highly trained to handle the worst situation. Sometimes they have to work in the warzone. The Training of Military Nurses is done as per the Military Standards. The Selection will be done in three phases:

  • Written Exam
  • Interview
  • Medical Exam etc

  • All the female candidates either its Divorcee/Unmarried/legally separated/ widow without encumbrances.

  • To apply for the MNS, the Candidate must be physically and medically fit.
  • Height of the female candidate should not be less than 152cm. There is some relaxation in height has been given to the Gorkhas and other candidates who belong to hilly areas.
  • Height for the Gorkhas and other hilly areas candidates should not be less than 148cm
  • EyeSight must be 6/6 with glasses or without glasses.
  • Candidate’s body should not carry any genetic diseases etc

TES 10+2 Entry:

The TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme. This entry is to become an Engineer in the Indian Army. After passing class 12th (defence courses after 12th) one can apply for this entry. The Selection will be done through the SSB Interview and the shortlisting of the candidates for the SSB Interview will be done on the basis of the marks scored in the class 12th exam. The Selection will be like this:

  • Shortlisting of the candidate
  • SSB Interview
  • Medical Test etc

After the selection, One will get proper training about the Technical aspects of the Indian Army and will become an Officer/ Engineer in the Indian Army. Here are the following criteria that are required to have to apply for this entry.

  • The candidate must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with at least a minimum of 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and mathematics.
  • The candidate’s age must be between 16 ½ to 19 ½ during the commencement of the training.

Indian Navy B.tech Entry:

The Indian Navy B.tech Entry is Especially for the candidates who want to join the Indian Navy as an Engineer. The Selection of the candidates is done in the following phases:

  • Shortlisting of the candidates on the basis of the marks scored in JEE Mains Examination.
  • SSB Interview
  • Medical Test etc.

The Airmen are the ones who assist the senior officers of the Indian Airforce and guards the property of the Indian Airforce etc. Through the Airmen Entry, One can become Airforce Police, Technical in charge, Airforce commando or can join the Administrative branch, etc. The Selection will be done in three phases, one has to clear:

  • Online Exam (Computer-Based Test)
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  • Medical Test etc

For Airforce Y Group:

  • A candidate must have passed the Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • This eligibility for all Non-technical group except Automobile Technician, IAF (P), IAF(S) & Musician} Trades.
  • Candidate’s age must be between 19 years old to 24 years old.

Navy SSR/AA Entry:

Through this entry, One can become a Sailor in the Indian Navy Service. This also comes in Defence Courses after 12th. The Selection is usually done in three phases, one has to clear the following phases:

  • Written Exam
  • Physical Fitness Test
  • Medical Exam etc

There is no difference in the selection process and eligibility criteria required of the Indian Navy SSR/AA Entry. One must have the following criteria to apply for this:

  • A candidate must be an Indian and Unmarried.
  • All the candidates must have passed class 12th with physics, chemistry, and mathematics with at least 60% marks from any recognized Board (State Board or Central Board ).
  • Age Limit: One must be having ages between 17 years old to 20 years old are eligible to apply for this Entry.
