To apply for this entry, It is mandatory for the candidates to have appeared for the JEE Mains Examination. The Selection of the candidate will be done in three phases.
- Shortlisting of the candidates on the basis of the marks scored in JEE Mains Examination.
- SSB Interview (Service Selection Board Interview)
- Medical Test or Examination etc.
The Selection is based on the SSB Interview. Indian Navy Sailor’s Entry After 12th:
There are three ways to join the Indian Navy after 12th. One can join the Indian Navy as a Technician, as a watch keeper, General Clerk or as a Peon etc. There are three types of Sailor’s Entry in the Indian Navy after 12th:

- AA (Artificer Apprentice)

- Physical Efficiency Test
- Medical Examination etc
The Written Exam is the main phase of selection, After this, all the passed candidates in the Written Exam will proceed for the Physical efficiency test and then Medical Exam. Under the Physical Efficiency Test, one will appear for some physical activities as well as some Interviews, etc.
Artificer Apprentice (AA):

There is no such requirement of eligibility. All the candidates who have passed class 10th from any recognized board (State Board or Central Board) and have ages between 17 years old to 20 years old are eligible to apply for this vacancy.
